Here are some pictures of Little Rina Primary school where
all of the Rafiki kids go to school and where we volunteer at! I love these
kids and I really love teaching.
It was like stepping back in time. I walked into a P1 (1st grade classroom) and the kids were sitting in desks that I had seen in pictures that were used in the old 1 room school house. The teacher was very gracious to welcome me. She was teaching math. Everything was taught by repetition and rote. As I sat, I noticed some of the children gathering around a table. They were sharpening their pencils with a razor blade! (these are 6 year olds)
